Direct Sourcing Solutions is a fast-growing Kiwi-owned global outsourcing company established in Hong Kong, with other offices in Clark, Philippines and Arrowtown, New Zealand. We are currently looking for an experienced Mid-Level Bookkeeper to manage our company's daily financial tasks. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of bookkeeping experience, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bank account management and reconciliation. Knowledge of Xero accounting software is preferable. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently balance various financial activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage payroll operations, including calculations, deductions, and tax compliance, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, closely monitoring all transactions and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date financial records and ensure all financial documentation is accurately filed and securely stored.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts, providing data and analysis to assist in financial planning.
- Ensure all financial processes comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Utilize Xero software for various financial tasks, optimizing its features for efficient financial management (if applicable).
- Work closely with the finance team and communicate effectively with other departments to ensure cohesive financial operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of Philippine bookkeeping experience.
- Additional experience with NZ and/or AU accounting aside from Philippine Accounting, is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation tasks.
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software is highly preferable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with a mix of office and remote work (based in Clark Pampanga).
